187 Pancakes
187 Pancakes is an installation of a table set with a serving of 187 pancakes. It presents to the viewer a mass of food readily available in western culture. Although “food” in incredibly accessible to the people of this culture, it does not mean the “food” is of any nutritional value. The cheapest food is not the healthiest and is often the deadliest. The pancake batter has little nutritional value, but holds a sentimental place in my memory.
