I’ve been in Fort Frances, Ontario, visiting my family and preparing a 1977 Triple E motorhome for the Burning Man Festival in the B;ack Rock Desert, Nevada. I managed to get in an excursion at a friend’s cabin, took a boat ride on the lake and quit smoking (for the 2390849032 time, but this time it’s serious because I now have asthma). I can’t say it’s been the vacation of my life, but it always good to catch up with old friends and to see the family. I certainly know that the town I grew up in is hardly “home”now, which has thrown me into a bit of an identity crisis. Not to mention the constant questions about “Whats you future plans?” “What are you going to do about work?” which has freaked me out a bit.
I’m considering teacher’s college in order to teach Art in Highschool, which I believe I would do well at and would provide a bit of stability. (Although, spiritually and philosophically speaking, I don’t really understand what “stability” means)
I’m not getting into this whole mindfuck I’ve been going through so onto a happier, more exciting topic; BURNING MAN!!! I’m leaving this Friday morning from Fort Frances, driving for 18 hours to stay at the infamous Yellowstone Park for a night, then driving more, picking up a friend from Salt Lake City, more driving to Black Rock Desert and we are there. Luckily the RV is in tip top shape (fingers crossed) and is ready for the road. A bit more tinkering with the lights, installing a propane tank, a bit of shopping and we are ready! WOOO.
Here’s a few photos of my time in Fort Frances
