One of my favourite movies, Fritz Lang’s Metropolis, has been restored to its director’s first intention for the film. (Except the footage that was completely lost. This movie is 83 years old) Apparently 30 mintues had been edited out by Paramount studios, and it drastically changes the way the film is viewed. So they have digitally remastered and added the remaining 30 minutes back into the movie.
I can’t wait to re-watch this movie to see what was originally intended. The new footage changes the way the movie is seen.
